Applications of PPR Pipes

Oct 08, 2026

PPR pipes (Polypropylene Random Copolymer pipes) feature outstanding advantages including sanitation, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, reliable hot-melt connection and long service life. They are the mainstream pipes for domestic hot and cold water supply, heating, purified water treatment and general industrial fluid transportation. The main application scenarios are as follows:

I. Construction and Civil Use (Core Application)

1. Hot and Cold Water Supply Systems (First Choice for Home Decoration)

Household renovation: Hot and cold water pipe networks in kitchens, bathrooms and balconies, connecting faucets, showers, water heaters and solar energy systems.

Public buildings: Domestic hot and cold water systems for office buildings, hotels, schools and hospitals.

Direct drinking water / purified water: Pipe networks for purified water, mineral water and water purification equipment, complying with food hygiene standards.

2. Heating and HVAC Systems

Floor radiant heating: Widely used for even heat dissipation, low heat loss and long service life.

Radiator heating: Connecting pipes for indoor radiators and secondary pipe networks of central heating.

Central air conditioning: Transportation pipes for chilled water and cooling water, with excellent thermal insulation and energy-saving performance.

3. Drainage and Rainwater Systems

Domestic sewage and kitchen drainage (resistant to detergent and grease corrosion); roof rainwater collection and discharge systems (lightweight and weather-resistant).

II. Industrial Applications

Chemical fluid transportation: Conveyance of mildly corrosive media, acid-base waste liquid and process cooling water.

Food, beverage & pharmaceutical industry: Sanitary process water, CIP cleaning systems and culture medium transportation (compliant with GMP and FDA standards).

Compressed air systems: Workshop compressed air pipe networks in factories.

Power & thermal industry: Circulating water and heat exchange system pipes for thermal power plants.

III. Municipal and Other Projects

Urban and rural water supply and drainage (below DN400), secondary water supply for residential communities;Low and medium-pressure gas transportation (partial regions);Agricultural irrigation and greenhouse hydroponic system pipelines.

IV. Core Advantages of PPR Pipes

Sanitary & Safe: No scaling, no bacterial growth, meeting drinking water standards.

Heat & Pressure Resistant: Long-term working temperature up to 70℃, short-term temperature up to 95℃, with a service life of over 50 years under 1.0MPa.

Firm Connection: Integrated connection via hot-melt welding, achieving zero leakage.

Corrosion Resistance: Acid and alkali resistant, anti-aging, with lower maintenance costs than metal pipes.

Cost-effective & Eco-friendly: Light weight, easy installation, recyclable and low comprehensive cost.
